After Pete went home (oh and didn’t we try to persuade him to stay!) we were all busy doing repairs, cleaning the boat and visiting Nuku’alofa a few more times during the week. Once all of the rally boats had arrived the Big Mama’s/ICA Olympic Beach Sports Day dawned. There were heats and finals in beach volleyball, table tennis and coconut bowls. Ann from Recluse and myself made a formidable team only to be pipped at the post in the final by a large overarm toss knocking our nut clean out to contention. It was a fun day and even Darcy & Seisia got in on the celebrations building the “Biggest Sandcastle” and the “Best Decorated Sandcastle”. They also got to play with some other kids of similar age so that was fun for them.
